due 4/23 - The Flood, page 925 (Blue Textbook), and answer the three questions that follow.

due 4/24 - Photo-journalist article on The Grapes of Wrath, page 927, and answer the seven questions that follow.

due 4/25 - from Travels with Charley, page 936, and answer questions that follow.  Roots quiz on roots 151-165.

due 4/28 - quiz on Steinbeck author study and his stories

due 4/30 - independent novel review.

Tuesday, April 1 = In class - character development and theme notes. Homework - Read Chapter 4 of Of Mice and Men and complete study guide questions. Expect a quiz.

Wednesday, April 2 = In class - setting and character development notes.  Homework = Read Chapter 5 of Of Mice and Men and complete study guide question. Receive writing prompt (creative) - Write Chapter 7 - what happens next.  Expect a quiz.

Thursday, April 3 = In class - setting and character development notes.  Homework - Read Chapter 5  of Of Mice and Men and complete study guide questions. Expect a quiz.  Homework - Creative writing task due Tuesday, April 10.Receive analytical writing prompt - due THURSDAY!  Song comparison - Pink Houses by John Mellancamp including writing prompt (paragraph). 

Friday, April 4 = Roots quiz on roots 121-135.   Theme discussion/ in class.   Homework Read Chapter 6.  Analytical prompt due Wednesday.

Monday, April 7 = In class - theme notes, foreshadowing review.  Film.  Reminder Creative writing task due April 10.  

Tuesday, April 8 - .  Creative Essay Due Tomorrow.  In class - film.  Reminder.  Analytical writing prompt due Tomorrow.

Wednesday, April 9 = Collect Analytical essay.  TOMORROW Of Mice and Men final AND Creative WritingEssay due.

Thursday, April 10 = Of Mice and Men Final
