Tuesday, March 25 = Homework, Read Book 2, chapters 21 and 22, and complete study guide questions.
Wednesday, March 26 = Homework - Read Book 2, chapters 23 and 24, and complete study guide questions. Quiz tomorrow on Book 2
Thursday, March 27 = In class: discuss The Language of Baklava. Receive writing prompt. Writing due Monday. Homework - Read Book 3, chapters 1 - 3, and complete study guide questions.
Friday, March 28 = Roots quiz on Latin roots 101-125. In class - character writing prompt. Homework - Read Book 3, chapters 4-10, and complete study guide questions. Writing prompt for The Language of Baklava.
Monday, March 31 = In class - character writing prompt, theme notes. Homework - Read Book 3, chapters 11-13
Tuesday, April 1 = Homework - Read Book 3, finish novel. Expect a quiz.
Wednesday, April 2 = In class = Read the poem "Five Men" on page 486 (in Tale book) and compare to A Tale of Two Cities. Homework: Read "The Pit and the Pendulum", page 489 (due Friday). Receive two writing tasks that are due next week.
Thursday, April 3 = Field trip to see the author of The Language of Baklava at Ogdensburg Free Academy.
Friday, April 4 = In Class = Roots quiz on roots 126-150. Discuss "The Pit and the Pendulum" and compare theme and characters to A Tale of Two Cities. LANGUAGE OF BAKLAVA ESSAY DUE MONDAY
Monday, April 7 = Begin reading the play "Darkness at Noon" Homework: Finish play and study guide questions.
Tuesday, April 8 = In Class- discuss "Darkness at Noon" and compare themes and character to A Tale of Two Cities. Homework: Read "The Strike" page 539 and complete study guide questions.
Wednesday, April 9 = Discuss homework reading. Review for final. Homework: Analytical Essay due tomorrow, and A Tale of Two Cities unit test tomorrow.
Thursday, April 10 = A Tale of Two Cities final. CHARACTER MONOLOGUE DUE APRIL 22
