    Executive Functioning
    Executive functions consist of several mental skills that help the brain organize and act on information. These skills enable people to plan, organize, remember things, prioritize, pay attention and get started on tasks. They also help people use information and experiences from the past to solve current problems. This folder provides information regarding the symptomology, prognosis, diagnosis and evaluation, of students with Executive Functioning Deficits and recommended research based interventions, strategies and accommodations generally thought to beneficial to this population of students.
    Externalizing Behavioral Disorders (e.g., Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Conduct Disorder etc.) and Behaviors
    This folder provides information regarding the symptomology, prognosis, diagnosis and evaluation, of students with Externalizing Disorders and behaviors, recommended scientifically research based interventions, strategies and accommodations generally thought to beneficial to this population of students. These disorders otherwise known as disruptive behavior disorders entail a persistent pattern of behavior that may include defiance of authority figures, aggression, blaming others for one’s own mistakes, hostility, irritability, lying, angry outbursts (i.e. temper tantrums), intentionally annoying others, arguing with adults, and refusing to comply with requests.
    Internalizing Behavioral Disorders (
    Information regarding the symptomology, prognosis, diagnosis and evaluation, of students with Internalizing Behavior Disorders or related problems and recommended scientifically research based interventions, strategies and accommodations generally thought to beneficial to this population of students.
    Learning Disabilities (Reading, Writing, Math, and Oral Language)
    Information to aid others in the understanding of different types of learning disabilities, their impact on individual students, and recommended strategies.
